Les Miserables extends Manila run until May 1, 2016

The Manila run of the world's longest running musical, Les Miserables, has been extended until May 1st due to "overwhelming feedback of the Filipino audiences."

Based on a novel by Victor Hugo and adapted on stage by the legendary duo Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Les Miserables is set against the backdrop of 19th-century revolutionary France. It features the classic songs “I Dreamed a Dream”, “On My Own”, “Bring Him Home”, “Do You Hear the People Sing?”, “One Day More” and “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables”.

The Manila cast members include Simon Gleeson as Jean Valjean, Earl Carpenter as Javert, Cameron Blakely and Helen Walsh as Monsieur and Madame Thénardier, Kerrie Anne Greenland as Éponine, Paul Wilkins as Marius, Emily Langridge as Cosette and Chris Durling as Enjolras and Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine.

Les Miserables is the latest world-class musical that is presented by SMART Infinity. Previous production tie-ups with Concertus Manila includes “Phantom of the Opera”, “Cats,” , “Chicago“ and “Wicked.” As of writing, tickets for the final week of Les Mis are up on Ticketworld.
