CBS airs first look at new Supergirl TV series
The most awesome thing on social media today is the release of the six-minute preview of CBS' Supergirl!
In a universe called television where DC characters have more interesting shows than their Marvel counterparts, Supergirl joins the ranks of Arrow and Flash in what looks like a super-fun romp at a genre that I, personally, could not get enough of.
In the television version, Kara Zor-El escaped amid the destruction of Planet Krypton with Kal-El, her cousin. Now at the age 24, she finally embraces her superhuman abilities to be the hero she was always meant to be.
The trailer looks very promising as it avoids the dark, serious mould embraced by some of the more masculine hero archetypes which is perfect for some light viewing and endless reruns. Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Whiplash, Glee), THE Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey of Grey’s Anatomy) and Jeremy Jordan (Smash, The Last Five Years).
The show airs Mondays 8/7 Central beginning November 2015.
