This week, we are launching the Electrolux Save & Share Blog Series. This is part of the Electrolux Delightful-E simple campaign which aims to help moms save not just money but also valuable time by making their everyday tasks delightfully simple and easy.
Here we get to ask Electrolux brand ambassadors Cheska Garcia Kramer, Chef Rosebud Benitez, Chef Bruce Lim and Mommy Mundo’s Janice Villanueva about creative yet effective ways to save on household expenses and sharing blessings to others.
Personally, I got interested that the series involved a drive to get people to donate pre-loved clothes. I even rummaged through my closet and found old favorites that I can pass on to new owners!
With the number of calamities that hit the country of late, even old clothes that add to our closet clutter can become extremely useful to other people. Equally important to food is clothing, and most of us have more than we can use.
"[There are people] who can't even afford to have 3 meals in a day much more buy clothes. Donating the clothes we no longer use will surely be a great help to many," said celebrity chef, Rosebud Benitez.
Touching on the topic of getting kids involved, we all agreed that this activity is a good way to teach kids in the family the value of sharing and helping others. Sharing is a habit formed while we are young so showing children and promoting awareness is a good way to get everyone in the family involved.
Cheska Garcia Kramer who promotes the campaign with her daughter, Kendra, said, "The simple things you can find in your house, namely your clothes, will be able to let people know that you don't really need to give money [to help]. So you are able to spread awareness. You are able to share to others in your own little way."
