Okay, I have to admit. I didn't watch the first Rurouni Kenshin film because this is one animè that I have not seen before. I mean I love animè but I just haven't gotten around to watching this one.
When I got the invite for the premiere of the second film, I wasn't too excited to go for the same reason. Good thing, my brother who is staying over for a few days, wanted to watch this so I reluctantly obliged to play chaperon.
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno was freaking amazing that first thing I did when I got home was look for a copy of the first movie and look for the entire series online. Kenshin is one of those films that CANNOT be replicated in Hollywood. It was just so authentic and bleeding animè, that you sometimes forget that you are watching real people.
Anyway, got info yesterday that the final instalment of the trilogy will be shown in PH cinemas on September 24th. I initially thought that we had to wait years to see the conclusion a la Star Wars but I am pretty glad that it will be shown real soon.
