E.R. Ejercito, KC Concepcion - Laguna Governor (former) and lead actor/producer of the film, ER Ejercito, was recently disqualified by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for overspending during the recent elections. Despite this, the film still seems to be on the go. It is of course comforting to know that disgraced politicians can always turn to showbiz when their political careers turn sour (sarcasm). Politics aside though, the trailer looks pretty decent.
8. Kaleidoscope World
Melcor Enterprises
Sef Cadayona, Yassi Pressman, Elmo Magalona, Diva Montelaba, Steven Silva, Enzo Pineda
List of films Pulled out:
Pulled out supposedly because of conflicting schedules of its lead actresses. Incidentally, Producer/Lead Actor is also under investigation for alleged involvement in a massive pork barrel scam where he was named as a major player in pocketing public funds. I wonder if that pork money has ever produced a string of MMFF movies in the past. If so, I wouldn't be surprised.
With the recent changes in the festival entries, there seems to be a better mix of films this year. There are still incarnations of the usual box-office trash but hopefully along with the change of title, the worn out formula used are also updated.
Boycott Ejercito Film....katas ng familia pork barrel.....
ReplyDeleteNo more Revilla films funded by dirty pork grease..same with Ejercito-Estrada ventures, ,no more GAY trashy, corny, boring comedies enjoyed by LOW INFORMATION people..no more!
ReplyDeleteWatch your mouth! ER has no PDAF. He is not a Legislator.
ReplyDeletePanay Basura mga palabas sa MMFF. magtanim na lang kayo ng kamote!
ReplyDeleteMost of the people that make this kind of comment do not even watch MMFF. This year, there are some good entries in the New Wave category and I heard that 10,000 Hours and Boy Golden are also good. :)
