Fine, so I don't only follow any show or movie about Marvel heroes, I do that for DC characters as well.
Making an intro appearance in Arrow episodes 8 and 9 is the latest of DC heroes that will be given his own TV show - Barry Allen aka The Flash.
Per Geekyrant: Barry Allen will be introduced in Arrow as "a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fanboy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante."
While I have always preferred the guy that played Arrow in Smallville, I am all for Grant Gustin as the new Flash. And I guess the producers agree because while Flash was originally planned to have a backdoor pilot in episode 20 of Arrow, they liked him so much that they decided that he deserves no less than his own series pilot.
