Rachelle Ann Go caps 8th year in showbiz with concert, BroadwayWorld nomination

Starting a career in show business is hard enough. Being able to stay and maintain a following for almost a decade is another thing. With a career that has crossed over from singing to hosting and then lately into mainstream theater, Rachelle Anne Go clearly has a lot to be thankful for.
To celebrate her 8th year in show business, Rachelle Ann produced an 8-chapter concert entitled Rise Against Gravity. The concert was an intimate look at the journey of one of the more successful talent competition veterans in the country today. There, we were given a glimpse at the hardships, trials, heartaches as well as successes that molded her into the well-loved star that she is now.
Sharing the concert stage with Rachelle Anne were some of the people that has made a mark in her life. There was Christian Bautista who is her former lover, Sarah Geronimo who is her professional rival and personal friend, and finally Regine Velasquez who remains to be an inspiration to most artists especially the ones whom she helped break-in to the industry.
Capping the celebration of her 8th year anniversary, Rachelle Ann was also nominated for Best Actress in a Musical at BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards for her performance in the theater production of The Little Mermaid. Broadwayworld Awards is a popularity based online poll orchestrated by the New York based website, broadwayworld.com which aims to recognize the best in Philippine Theater and give recognition to theater practitioners in the country.
