President Aquino scores record public satisfaction rating
Amid tragedy and a disastrous monsoon that ravaged the country, President Benigno Aquino III scored a net satisfaction score of +67 with 77% of the respondents saying they were satisfied with his performance, according to the latest survey of the Social Weather Station (SWS).
Besting his personal record from mid-2010, Aquino's rating has improved in all areas, socioeconomic classes and gender, the SWS said. Under his rule, the Philippines has been dubbed at the "strongest performing Asian economy today." He also machinated the ousting a questionable Supreme Court Justice and has taken a decisive stand against the very church that rallied behind his mother, former President Cory Aquino, on a key national issue.
