One time screen siblings Sam Concepcion and Enrique Gil of the defunct teen show, Good Vibes, will be facing off each other on August 29. Two movies featuring both heartthrobs will open on that day. One is the Unitel musical I Do Bidoo Bidoo and the other is Skylight Films/Star Cinema's Amorosa.
Personally, I find both movies very promising. It isn't even a matter of what I'll watch but more of what I will be seeing first.
I Do Bidoo Bidoo is a chance for Sam to again showcase his acting/singing and dancing chops which theater fans have already witnessed in last year's stage production of Peter Pan. The movie also features his former stage partner Tippy dos Santos who played Wendy in the same production. Written and directed by competent box-office director, Chris Martinez, I Do Bidoo Bidoo also features a powerhouse cast lead by Eugene Domingo, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
Amorosa, on the other hand, is the first horror movie of Enrique Gil who is off to a roll this year with a top rated primetime series (Princess and I) and another well received barkada movie (The Reunion) under his well-groomed sleeve. Amorosa is a psychological horror movie/family drama that tells of the supernatural experiences of Amiel (Martin del Rosario), Rommel (Enrique Gil) and their mother Rosa (AngelAquino). This is directed by horror movie veteran, Topel Lee.
Here's hoping that both movies will do good.
