MVP marks another territory, renames MOA ARENA

Just like a cat, pissing on walls to mark his territory, business magnate Manny Pangilinan renames the newly constructed events venue Mall of Asia Arena to PLDT-SM MOA Arena to mark a three year branding partnership with SM.

The supposed milestone follows the renaming of the classic venue Araneta Coliseum to Smart-Araneta as branding for his mobile telecom company Smart Communications.

As dark lords usually want their mark seen on everything they deem as their own, do not be surprised if one day you go on a public toilet and see "MVP was here" staring at you while you take a crap.

Update:

As per ABS-CBN News, "Under the deal, the branding rights and license will allow PLDT to have the phrase "powered by PLDT" on all MOA Arena branding, including the scoreboard, LED ribbon boards and digital spots."

That actually sounds better than PLDT-SM MOA Arena but still, cat piss. :)

First it was the SMART-ARANETA COLISEUM ... and now this ...

Next to come would perhaps be the SUN-Philippine Arena, a tie-up with Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) which is building the said arena at Bocaue Bulacan near NLEX with a 50-70 thousand seating capacity and has a 74,000-square-meter area.

I don't think MVP could get a naming/branding pact with the Philippine Arena...
