On September 25, 2012, World of Warcraft will finally release its latest and much anticipated expansion. This comes just in time as old timers have started wandering off to other games or have already retired as they have completed much of the game's current content.
Offering a new race, class, a higher level cap and a redesign of the existing talent system, Blizzard hopes to rekindle the interest of old players and attract a slew of new followers.
Eight years since its initial release, World of Warcraft remains, by far, the undisputed leader in the MMO market worldwide. With over 10.1 Million subscribers (a sizable dip from an all-time high of over 12 Million) as of December 2011, it stomps its closest rival, Star Wars: The Old Republic, that only has 1.3 Million active subscribers as of May 2012.
