Here are some of the tweets posted by people present at Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball. Some are quotes and others, ongoing reactions to the church-opposed concert.
In other news, the official news service of the CBCP reacted to what they call "a warm welcome in Manila" for Lady Gaga and called her a pseudo-artist. They compared the treatment to the reactions given to Pacquiao's homophobic stand on Gay Marriage sans the questionable quote.
"In contrast to the unfair treatment given to Pacquiao, self-proclaimed “gay rights activist” Lady Gaga is getting a warm welcome in Manila for her “Born this Way Ball” concert." - CBCP for Life
They added "Pacquiao has nothing to worry about even with that passage in Leviticus. The Church believes in reading the Old and New Testaments side by side..." referring to the a quote that was initially thought to be given by Pacquiao that says, "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
Now my question is, shouldn't the CBCP be against boxing to begin with? So they can defend "the Filipino boxing superstar" and indirectly endorse a violent sport but they are against an expression of love like gay marriage and an artist that promotes individuality and equality? I am confused. So who is the anti-Christ in this scenario again?
