As of the first day of screening, there has been unconfirmed reports that some cinemas have pulled out Asiong Salonga because of the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Intellectual Property Rights Office as answer to complaints posted by the film's director, Tikoy Aguiluz. The producers insisted that showing will push through but the name of Aguiluz as director will be stricken as requested.

Meanwhile, positive reviews have been posted online on horror films' Segunda Mano and Shake, Rattle and Roll as well as the family comedy, My Househusband.

  1. In Gateway, the poster of 'Asiong Salonga' is still in the poster, at least the one on the lobby where they mount the 'Now Showing' posters, near the escalators.
