Top Grossing Films in the Philippines (as of October 13, 2011)


This is the latest update of the box office earnings of films released in the Philippines this year (foreign and local)

1. Transformers: Dark of the Moon - 415.85M
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 - 296.03M
3. No Other Woman* - 219M
4. Kung Fu Panda 2 - 197.88M
5. Thor - 173.98M
6. X-Men: First Class - 154.92M
7. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - 154.84M
8. Captain America: The First Avenger - 150.57M
9. Green Lantern - 129.83M
10. Fast Five - 126.89M

Note: All movies marked with an asterisk (*) are still showing in theaters

PS. Never equate quality with strength in the Box-Office, they don't always go together. Also, according to mychos.com, as of October 17th, No Other Woman has already raked in 250M making it inch closer to the #2 spot. Love it or hate it, just be glad that a Filipino film has made as much and hope that this has somehow helped revive interest in the local film industry.
